Looking for new biomedical faculty for Annual Reviews focus group

Participate in a conversation about early career researchers and scholarly communication:

Are you someone who recently (in the last 5 years) started a biomedical faculty position? Are you an “Assistant Professor'“, or in an equivalent position? If so, Annual Reviews wants to hear from you.

Annual Reviews would like to hear about your experiences as a reader and brainstorm ways that they, and scholarly publishing in general, might better serve the needs of early career researchers in the future. They are looking for early career biomedical faculty, at the Assistant Professor (i.e. tenure-track equivalent) level, who began their research group within the last 5 years, to join a moderated online discussion about the role of review articles within scholarly communication and their relevance to earlier career audiences. They would like to hear about your experiences as a reader and brainstorm ways that Annual Reviews, and scholarly publishing in general, might better serve the needs of early career researchers in the future.

The discussion will take place on Zoom on Friday December 11th, beginning with at 12pm Pacific/3pm Eastern and ending at 2 pm Pacific/5pm Eastern, with an option to stay on and ask further questions if you are interested. The group moderator will be Gary McDowell, PhD, CEO of Lightoller LLC.

To say thank you for participating, Annual Reviews will mail each participant three gifts after the event:

• A $100 Annual Reviews Visa Gift Card
• An Annual Reviews T-shirt in your size
• Laptop stickers

If you’d like to apply to take part, please complete the short (2 minute) survey here.

Please address any questions through the Lightoller contact page.
